The Mo-Kan Cat Club, Inc. will host its 57th annual Cat Fanciers’ Association Cat Show at the Overland Park Convention Center on Saturday, August 8th from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 9th from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Beneficiaries of this year’s show are the Winn Foundation, Kansas City Siamese Rescue and No More Homeless Pets Kansas City (NMHPKC).
One of the midwest region’s larger cat shows themed “Vikings Explore Kansas City ” is featuring the Norwegian Forest Cat breed and will host more than 300 purebred cats on exhibition, representing approximately 30 breeds presented by more than 150 exhibitors from all over the United States. In addition to the judging of cats in eight rings, this two-day event will have several outstanding vendors selling cat toys, teasers, cat trees, furniture, fine jewelry, clothing, and collectibles. The Mo-Kan Cat Club will be hosting another spectacular raffle with something for everyone! Also, returning again this year by popular demand will be Sheridan's Frozen Custard Sundaes!
The Mo-Kan Cat Club is very excited about returning for our fourth year to the Overland Park Convention Center for our annual August show. This venue is a great facility for our exhibitors to show off their wonderful cats. We hope everyone will take the time to come and visit. There is even a good chance that you can meet the love of your life!
This “purr-fect” event features educational programs and dissemination of materials on health, nutrition and welfare of all cats. Purebred cats and kittens will be available for sale, and Kansas City Siamese Rescue will have feline pet companions for adoption. No More Homeless Pets Kansas City will have a booth to disseminate materials to bring awareness to the plight of homeless animals and the importance of spay/neuter and adoption/rescue programs.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors 60 years and older, and $4 for children ages three to 12. Children three and under are free. Tickets are available at the door. Parking is FREE!
